Software Architect
Todd has been with CrossRate from the
beginning. Todd works part-time on software development issues. Prior
to CrossRate Todd worked for Mathworks on Matlab development. Prior to
this he worked at Honda Research and Development Americas where he
developed novel computer vision technologies that allowed a humanoid
robot to interact with users by recognizing and reacting to gestures.
As a researcher at MIT he developed and implemented theoretical models
for more accurate foreground object detection and tracking over a wide
array of scenes and conditions. He also worked with children to design
exploration programs for linguistics research. Mr. Atkins received both
his Master of Engineering and undergraduate degree in Electrical
Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT).
