A boyhood friend of Zach’s, Mike
jumped at the opportunity to found CrossRate in 2004. Prior to
CrossRate Mike worked in and around the microelectronics industry for
the past seven years. During this time he has performed product
development and process integration work for Micron Technology,
National Semiconductor, and the Rochester Institute of Technology
(RIT). Mr. Leathem has experience implementing statistically designed
product and process improvements. He completed full process development
and electrical analysis of novel gate insulators for CMOS transistors
during his thesis work. He also performed research on MOS gate oxide
cleaning and contamination, as well as micro-electro-mechanical systems
(MEMS) process flow development. He earned his undergraduate degree in
Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University and his Master of
Science in Microelectronics from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
