Dr. Sherman Lo is a senior research engineer at the Stanford University GPS Research Laboratory. He is Associate Investigator for the Stanford University efforts on the Department of Transportation's technical evaluation of Loran. He is a coauthor of the FAA Loran technical evaluation completed in 2004. He also works on a variety of issues related to modernized GNSS and GNSS concepts. He has authored or co-authored over 30 technical papers, 4 magazine articles, and 6 journal publications. He received his Ph.D. in Aeronautic and Astronautics from Stanford University in 2002. He also holds MS degrees in Managerial Science & Engineering and Aeronautics & Astronautics, both from Stanford University. He has received the ION Early Achievement Award (2005) and the International Loran Association (ILA) President's Award (2003). He is a member of the Board of Directors of the ILA.
